History and Comments: George William Humphrey had to give two of his children away when his wife was ill. Cora and William. They were raised by others as Adelia Pearson and William B. Pollett
William Pollett told me (Deon Pollett) that his father came to visit him when he graduated from high school and my father didn’t like him and snubbed him by saying the only father I know is Albert Earnest Pollett who is laying in there in the couch.
Dad told me that his father was sad and went away never to see him again. Earl came to visit when I was about eight years old and took pictures of all of us. I still have the one of Stan and I. I don’t know why but Dad never did do much with his brother Earl. I guess they didn’t connect when they visited. Adelia Pearson Hall (I think) and Dad talked on occasion (that’s Dad’s sister). She passed away in the late 1980’s.
